1 Chronicles 11:1-2

Then all Israel gathered before David at Hebron and told him, “We are your own flesh and blood.  In the past, even when Saul was king, you were the one who really led the forces of Israel. And the Lord your God told you, ‘You will be the shepherd of my people Israel. You will be the leader of my people Israel.’” 1 Chronicles 11:1-2

I pray you'll patiently wait on the Lord and be a godly leader where He currently has you. Saul had the title but was not the leader. David did not have the title but as the people said, you were "really" the one who led God's people. He led by shepherding well and courageously fighting the enemies, in short he led by his actions. David didn't manipulate or maneuver into the position yet he led where God had him and now the time was right for David to be the king. How have you be "really" leading with integrity, respect and patience? Do you believe it's possible to really be the leader without the title or position?
