1 Chronicles 17:25-27

“O my God, I have been bold enough to pray to you because you have revealed to your servant that you will build a house for him—a dynasty of kings! For you are God, O Lord. And you have promised these good things to your servant. And now, it has pleased you to bless the house of your servant, so that it will continue forever before you. For when you grant a blessing, O Lord, it is an eternal blessing!” 1 Chronicles 17:25-27  I pray that you'll examine your prayer life before God in terms of your holy boldness. David said he was bold enough to ask and could it be that it had something to do with his heart after God's own heart? Align your prayers with His will. It's greater than a building but points to Christ Jesus and an eternal kingdom. How are you coming boldly to the throne of grace?

Numbers 9:22-23

Whether the cloud stayed above the Tabernacle for two days, a month, or a year, the people of Israel stayed in camp and did not move on. But as soon as it lifted, they broke camp and moved on. So they camped or traveled at the Lord’s command, and they did whatever the Lord told them through Moses. Numbers 9:22-23  I pray you'll ponder how God led the children of Israel to move forward as they followed the cloud when it would lift. If it stayed they would not break camp. If it lifted, they would go to the next place. See the frequency and the consistency of God's direction. Whether it was two days, a month or a year, God was faithful to lead them no matter what. Is God giving you indicators of His desire for you to move or to stay? Will you obey? How have you seen His faithfulness to you?

2 Timothy 1:9

For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:9  I pray you'll make living a holy life your aim. It's not to be saved but because it's God who has saved and called you. Pause and thank God for giving you salvation and for it being His plan to show you grace through Christ Jesus. In light of this truth, are you living a holy life? Have you been acting like it's undeserved or deserved? Who will you share this Good News with today?

John 6:5-7

Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?” He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do. Philip replied, “Even if we worked for months, we wouldn’t have enough money to feed them!” John 6:5-7  I pray you'll notice how Jesus asks us questions to test us and He already knows what He plans to do. But why do we tend to not trust Him and only look for human solutions? Get in step with Him and you'll see Him do the miraculous. Will you pass the test or fail? How could you demonstrate your faith in God's ability to do the impossible today?

Hosea 6:1-3

“Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces; now he will heal us. He has injured us; now he will bandage our wounds. In just a short time he will restore us, so that we may live in his presence. Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.” Hosea 6:1-3  I pray you'll see how much the Lord desires for you to come to Him. The consequences of sin are tearing apart, injury and wounds from the disciplined hand of the Lord. Yet He heals, bandages and restores those who come to Him. In Christ, we receive full healing and restoration because He bore our just punishment on the Cross dying for our sins. Thank God for His justice and mercy and love! Will you return to Him for healing? Will you press in to know Him and experience the refreshing touch of a right relationship with Jesus?

Proverbs 19:20-21

Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life. You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail. Proverbs 19:20-21  I pray you'll seek wise counsel and make plans ever so mindful that the Lord's purpose will ultimately prevail. It's imperative you know and submit to God's purposes as you plan. God is willing to give you His wisdom. Seek His wisdom first then you'll be able to receive the best advice and instruction from Him and those who walk with Him. What kind of plans are you working on and are you including the Lord in those plans? Have you taken the posture of "if the Lord wills" as you plan? When this verse says "the rest of your life", are you taking into account the brevity of your life?

Psalm 101:6

I will search for faithful people  to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me. Psalm 101:6  I pray you'll search for the kind of friends who faithfully walk with.God in truth and possess a holy character which is above reproach. King David is talking from his perspective of those who serve with him. This is one trait among a healthy list of holy character traits in Psalm 101. He is looking for holy people who can be entrusted and empowered to serve. Never underestimate how your friends can influence you and make a kingdom difference. Who are your friends? Who do you seek counsel and correction from? Will you commit to be a kingdom difference kind of friend?

1 Chronicles 11:1-2

Then all Israel gathered before David at Hebron and told him, “We are your own flesh and blood.  In the past, even when Saul was king, you were the one who really led the forces of Israel. And the Lord your God told you, ‘You will be the shepherd of my people Israel. You will be the leader of my people Israel.’” 1 Chronicles 11:1-2  I pray you'll patiently wait on the Lord and be a godly leader where He currently has you. Saul had the title but was not the leader. David did not have the title but as the people said, you were "really" the one who led God's people. He led by shepherding well and courageously fighting the enemies, in short he led by his actions. David didn't manipulate or maneuver into the position yet he led where God had him and now the time was right for David to be the king. How have you be "really" leading with integrity, respect and patience? Do you believe it's possible to really be the leader without the title or position?

Numbers 6:23-27

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons to bless the people of Israel with this special blessing: ‘May the Lord bless you     and protect you.  May the Lord smile on you     and be gracious to you.  May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.’ Whenever Aaron and his sons bless the people of Israel in my name, I myself will bless them.” Numbers 6:23-27 NLT   I pray that this blessing will be on your lips today as you pray for your family, friends and others whom the Lord lays upon your heart. Will you take note of how the blessing affects those who pronounce it? What are the things within this blessing you're asking God to do and which one is the greatest need of yours this morning?

Read the Bible Through John 4-6 (John 4:34-35)

Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work. You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest. John 4:34-35  I pray you will hear Jesus telling you to wake up and look around at the ready harvest. Jesus's food was to do the will of His Father. One strategic encounter with this woman at the well led to a whole village coming to believe? When you go about your day will you see with spiritual eyes the harvest that is white and ready? Will you also have a sense of urgency looking for that one person because the months leading up to a greater harvest are already upon us?

Read the Bible Through Daniel 8-12 (Daniel 9:21-23)

A Daily Verse or Two, A Prayer and a Couple of Questions   As I was praying, Gabriel, whom I had seen in the earlier vision, came swiftly to me at the time of the evening sacrifice. He explained to me, “Daniel, I have come here to give you insight and understanding. The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully so that you can understand the meaning of your vision. Daniel 9:21-23 NLT  I pray you'll truly hear what God has said about you and how He values you. Let this truth sink in "you are very precious to God". How then should you approach the issues you are dealing with today? What can you learn in these verses about how God answers your prayers? What actions could you take to listen more carefully like Daniel did to receive the meaning of the vision He's giving you?
