Read the Bible Through Daniel 8-12 (Daniel 9:21-23)


A Daily Verse or Two, A Prayer and a Couple of Questions

 As I was praying, Gabriel, whom I had seen in the earlier vision, came swiftly to me at the time of the evening sacrifice. He explained to me, “Daniel, I have come here to give you insight and understanding. The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully so that you can understand the meaning of your vision. Daniel 9:21-23 NLT

 I pray you'll truly hear what God has said about you and how He values you. Let this truth sink in "you are very precious to God". How then should you approach the issues you are dealing with today? What can you learn in these verses about how God answers your prayers? What actions could you take to listen more carefully like Daniel did to receive the meaning of the vision He's giving you?

Numbers 33:1-2 NLT I pray you'll take some time to ponder on the stages of your spiritual journey, the progress and the stops along the way. Thank God for His faithfulness, provisions and mercies. When you walk in obedience the Lord orders your steps and is with you every step of the way. When you stray from the way, the Lord lovingly disciplines you and reorients your life back to Him. What is God saying to during this current stage of the journey? How have you seen God's faithfulness, provision and mercies?
