1 Chronicles 21:24-25

 But King David replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on buying it for the full price. I will not take what is yours and give it to the Lord. I will not present burnt offerings that have cost me nothing!”  So David gave Araunah 600 pieces of gold in payment for the threshing floor. 1 Chronicles 21:24-25 NLT

I pray you'll never take advantage of your authority as a leader to do something out of step with God's holy nature. David could have given an offering which cost him nothing but he had learned (the hard way) that God is not to be ignored or trifled with when it comes to how you relate to Him. Will you seek God's direction before making any decision? How would God evaluate your worship in terms of costly obedience? What are you giving to Jesus and have you counted the cost to follow Him?

Numbers 33:1-2 NLT I pray you'll take some time to ponder on the stages of your spiritual journey, the progress and the stops along the way. Thank God for His faithfulness, provisions and mercies. When you walk in obedience the Lord orders your steps and is with you every step of the way. When you stray from the way, the Lord lovingly disciplines you and reorients your life back to Him. What is God saying to during this current stage of the journey? How have you seen God's faithfulness, provision and mercies?
